The Bluffs

Sometimes I dream in color, sometimes in black and white.

Last night, my dreams were vivid. Stunning sunsets over the city, beautiful wetlands in the foreground with the west hills of Portland in the background. Comfy chairs, a nice cold glass of lemonade, my homemade kind, and good company. Candles burning. Laughter. Bliss.

Here is the view from my porch, standing on the corner of my dream house. The one with the writing room overlooking the city. With hardwood floors and paneled cabinets. I will have to do something about the pink kitchen, though.
It has stained glass windows, a giant, wrap-around porch and a cozy fireplace in the front room with bookshelves for Whitman and Hemingway and maybe Rachel.

Some day, this view will be mine.

  1. Last night, I had a dream that I had sex with my boss! For all kinds of reasons, I hope that view is never mine ;)

  6. Oh man, I can comment now!! Woohooo!!

And now I have nothing to say! :D

No, that's not true. Last night I dreamt I was having an argument with Justin Timberlake about his belt.

Doesn't that say it all? :D

Nice view. I hope one day it will be yours too!

  10. Nice view, Rach. I like the idea of a writing room as well or even just a room to express one's artistic side and put yourself at ease.We all need a little space to call our own.

  11. I can see your books lined up now in the front room. What a view, too!

Btw, what's up with all the sex talk?? Maybe I should spill the beans about my dream with Antonio Banderas.
